Paul Potts has come to the defence of Britain's Got Talent's latest winner Jon Courtenay after seeing mean trolls scathe 'he'll be forgotten about in a month.' Father-of-two Jon was reduced to tears last night as viewers voted him the champion of the ITV contest, for which he receives a spot at the Royal Variety Performance and a £250,000 prize.
Back in 2007 Potts won the first ever series of the show with the unassuming pen salesman unleashing his operatic skills to be propelled to global fame.
He went on to achieve huge success, with his first audition becoming a viral YouTube hit and album One Chance topping the sales charts in 13 countries.
