Paul Potts has come to the defence of Britain's Got Talent's latest winner Jon Courtenay after seeing mean trolls scathe 'he'll be forgotten about in a month.' Father-of-two Jon was reduced to tears last night as viewers voted him the champion of the ITV contest, for which he receives a spot at the Royal Variety Performance and a £250,000 prize.

He went on to achieve huge success, with his first audition becoming a viral YouTube hit and album One Chance topping the sales charts in 13 countries.
