Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Cowell is the principal, founder and chief executive of the British entertainment company Syco.
Amanda Holden
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

BGT bosses hit back as ITV show accused of 'recycling' acts after Simon links uncovered

Britain's Got Talent has been accused of recycling acts on the new series of the ITV show. Some of the contestants have been linked to the programme's judges Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden.

Out of the 60 acts that have been shown this year 15 of those have either been in a different Got Talent series or have a judge connection, or are already "professionals" in their field, wrote The Sun.The Daily Star went to ITV for comment, with a spokesperson saying: “It would be unfair to say these contestants are household names.

Some have had an element of success, but you’d still have to look them up to know who they are.”Another said: “Lockdown was tough for everyone.

The entertainment industry was on pause for the last two years. So we shouldn’t punish these people for trying to better themselves and utilise every platform on offer to showcase their talent.”Examples include Loren Allred, 32, the singer who was behind Never Enough from The Greatest Showman.Titan the Robot also appeared on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, last year, as well as Daybreak with Kate Garraway in 2010.Strongman JD even auditioned for Simon on the American version of Got Talent.Dance group Les Sancho starred in the French version of Got Talent and came third place.Britain's Got Talent viewers have branded the ITV show a fix once more after seeing a singer from Amanda Holden's BBC show audition.On Saturday's episode (May 22), the show saw a musical group called Welsh on the West End audition for the judges.The talented choir consists of ten professional performers who already currently perform - or have previously performed - in London's famous West End, with one member previously starring on BBC's I Can See Your Voice, which Amanda is also a judge.
