The Renaissance is just beginning. The newly released album from Beyoncé is actually just the first part of a trilogy, the 40-year-old “Break My Soul” superstar confirmed just before the album’s release on Friday (July 29).
In a note to fans on her official website, Bey confirmed that Renaissance is part of a “three-act project,” recorded over three years throughout the pandemic, calling it a “time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative.” Click inside to read more… It’s not yet known if Act II and Act III will also be Renaissance-titled as well, or whether they’ll be similarly dance-oriented. “Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.
It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment, a place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking.
