The annual event took place on Monday night (October 28) at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Erykah Badu won the Fashion Icon Award at the event and she also won a spot on out Best Dressed list!
CFDA CEO Steven Kolb said about Erykah, “She’s probably, for a lot of people, an unexpected icon at first thought, but when you actually pause and think about it for a moment, and look at how she’s been dressed, how she is so enthusiastic about fashion, how much she loves fashion… She is definitely the opposite of expected.
