Best and worst hotels in Scotland ranked - as one chain branded 'run down' and 'dirty'

A list of the best and worst hotel chains in the UK has been shared by consumer watchdog Which?. While some were praised for being "clean" and "comfy", others were called "run-down" and "dirty".

As the cost of living crisis worsens, people are looking for ways to cut back on costs. Hotels can be a costly expense, and so it's important to make sure you're getting your money's worth when staying in one.

That's why Which? has shared a list of the best and worst hotel chains across the UK. The watchdog asked 4,447 of its members, as well as the public, to share their experiences staying in hotel chains across the nation. Guests also gave their verdict on food and customer service. Looking at larger hotel chains, Premier Inn came in first place with an overall customer score of 78 per cent.
