Benefit payments warning as Post Office Card accounts government contract nears its end

iOS - Android At its peak, around 900,000 people across the UK were using the Post office to collect payments, but over the past three years the DWP and HMRC have been writing to claimants and encouraging them to have benefits and pensions paid directly into a bank account instead.HMRC recently issued a warning to Tax Credit claimants that the POCa deadline is drawing nearer and urged its customers to use the renewal pack to enter updated payment information, including a change of account such as banks details.The POCa service closed to new DWP benefit claimants, including people who had reached State Pension age and were eligible to claim, on May 11 this year.Head over to our new Lanarkshire Live Facebook page to make sure you're up to.
