It took Ben Davies the best part of a decade to complete his clamber from the depths of the Conference to the Champions League heights.But it was only once he’d finally hit what he thought was the peak that the real summit came into view, with the Rangers defender and his side treated to a brutal demonstration of just how far there still was to climb to reach the European zenith.
