A TV presenter has announced their own death in an emotional farewell shared on social media. It's A Knockout star Fiona MacDonald had been battling Motor Neurone Disesase but in recent years, has refused further treatment for the condition due to the unrelenting symptoms of the cruel disease.
In a heartbreaking post, she stated that she hoped she was "looking down from a cloud".The beloved Queensland-born presenter, famed for her stint on shows like Wombat and as the puppeteer behind Agro's Cartoon Connection in the 80s, was diagnosed with the illness in November 2021.
Fiona, who later traded the spotlight for the vineyards to run her own wine business, had pre-written her goodbye, leaving her sister Kylie the solemn duty of sharing it with the world.
Fiona's touching final words read: "Farewell my friends. My sister Kylie is posting this because I have left the building - Hopefully I'm looking down from a cloud.
