When it comes to modern day romance, a lot has changed over the years in terms of relationship dynamics and finding love. From experiencing the highs and lows of dating apps to seeking love on a TV show, there’s more ways than ever to find a relationship.

And now, dating show Couple To Throuple is giving couples the chance to experience polyamory as they determine whether they would like to enter a throuple, leave as a couple or even go their separate ways entirely.

In an exclusive interview with OK!, Couple To Throuple host Scott Evans has opened up about his time filming the show and has revealed how one singleton nearly “flipped the show’s format on its head.” With its unique set-up, it’s clear that Couple To Throuple is like no other dating show we’ve seen before - something that Scott says drew him to the role. “I’ve wanted to be a part of a destination dating show for some time and wanted to be a part of something that was inherently queer at its core,” he explained. “When the concept arose of this idea of what would happen if there were established couples who were curious, and interested in, inviting a third partner into their relationship.

I was like ‘sign me up’. It just seemed like we've never seen this before on television.” As a result, with these relationship dynamics in mind, Scott says he found it hard to not play matchmaker at the beginning of the series, though soon realised that “it didn’t matter” what he said when it came to attempting to pair couples with singletons.
