The singer met the then-beauty queen when his band performed on Top of The Pops in 1967 - with the night ending with the pair grabbing some alone time in the famous blue phone box from the BBC series.
Barry, 74, admitted he was immediately smitten with Linda and they escaped the crowd at the music studio and stumbled on the set of Doctor Who.
Revealing how things then took a very steamy turn, Barry said: "She was the hostess for one week, the week Massachusetts was No1.
And she'd never heard of it. "We just saw each other across the room and something happened. And, um, we had a bit of a cuddle in Doctor Who's Tardis, surrounded by Daleks!" he
