Gustavo Arnal has died. The 52-year-old Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. chief financial officer fell to his death from the New York skyscraper known as the Jenga Tower on Friday afternoon (September 2), police confirmed to Reuters.
The news comes as the company announced it was closing 150 stores, cutting jobs and overhauling its merchandise strategy amid losses.
He sold 55,013 shares in the company last month, based on SEC filings via the news outlet. Click inside to read more… Gustavo joined the company in 2020, having previously worked at Avon and Procter & Gamble, according to his LinkedIn page.
Police responded to a 911 call and found a 52-year-old man dead near the building, who appeared to incur injuries from a fall.
