EXCLUSIVE: Golden Balls is delivering ratings riches for Netflix. Beckham, the documentary in which David and Victoria Beckham open up their lives, has scored Netflix’s biggest audience of the year in the UK by a comfortable margin.
The Fisher Stevens-directed series launched on October 4 and amassed 3.8M viewers in the week ending October 8, according to Barb, the UK’s official TV audience research body.
Produced by Beckham’s Studio 99 and Ventureland, the second episode in the series also performed well, netting nearly 2.9M viewers.
The figures only include people watching on television sets, meaning that viewing on mobile devices does not feature in the numbers.
