BBC The Traitors fans say they 'didn't expect' as first contestant 'banished'

The Traitors fans were in shock after the first contestant was banished from the show on Thursday night. It was revealed on Wednesday that this time the contestants are in for new twists and turns to shake up the game - and the first big twist was shared by host Claudia Winkleman before the group of 25 even reached Ardross Castle.

Claudia announced that three contestants would have to voluntarily leave in order to add extra money to the final prize pot.

Jack, Fozia and Alexander sacrificed their place in the competition and left the train, however, some viewers did suspect that we'll be seeing them again later on in the series.

A second twist also revealed that in the final, no one on the show will find out who is a traitor and who is a faithful meaning only the audience at home will have that knowledge.
