BBC The One Show viewers were not happy after Rowan Atkinson's appearance last night. Fans tuned into Thursday's episode in excitement as the comedy legend was set to be on the famous green sofa for a chat.

The Mr Bean star was live in the studio with Top Gear host Chris Harris and the pair were chatting with presenters Jermaine Jenas and current stand-in frontwoman Angela Scanlon.

Talking about their upcoming projects, Rowan opened up on his new Netflix series Man vs Bee, which is released on Friday. Billed by the streaming giant as a "riotous comedy" the series will see the 67-year-old as a bumbling father named Trevor Bingley who lands a new job as a house-sitter at a luxurious mansion filled with priceless artwork, classic cars and a dog called Cupcake.
