Adrian Chiles has shared his heartbreak after his father passed away.The TV presenter revealed his dad Peter Chiles died age 86 in early March in a tear-jerking column for The Guardian.

Adrian, 56, who formerly hosted BBC's The One Show, explained that his father has suffered a fall and fractured his shoulder on 20 January.

Having been discharged from A&E, a few days later he was taken to a "rural community hospital" and passed away six weeks later on 9 March.

Adrian admitted he was "shocked at how shocked I am" by his dad's passing and suggested he had been "unprepared" for it. He detailed his grief and emotions in the hard-hitting column.
