Former BBC Breakfast star Kate Silverton enjoyed nine gruelling but joyful weeks on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.The mum of two was partnered with pro dancer Aljaž Škorjanec and the couple have remained firm friends in the six years since.
As she chats exclusively to OK! after waving goodbye to London in favour of a new life in the country, she reveals her two children -Clemency Florence Rose, 12, and Wilbur, nine, are now huge fans of the show too. "Wilbur and I have been watching the Tango dance to Tattoo with Layton and Nikita, it's burned in my soul," she tells us. "We put it on and he loved watching it.
I loved their relationship." As well as unpacking more boxes in their new country house, Kate, 53, also needs to post a gift to her former partner and his dancer wife Janette Manrara, who had their first baby together, Lyra, in July. “I’m very late because of the move!” she laughs.
Since leaving Strictly Kate has retained as a child therapist and now works solely in that field, as well as writing parenting books and working on various children's mental health campaigns.
