Amanda Abbington's departure from Strictly Come Dancing came as a shock to many, including her dancing partner Giovanni Pernice.The 49 year old actress was forced to quit the BBC show due to "personal reasons" but said she "did not come to this decision lightly", and it appears 33 year old Giovanni is now showing solidarity.

Last week the professional dancer announced his new 'dream' venture on Instagram and promised that the big reveal would take place on October 24.

But after Amanda pulled out of the competition, Giovanni has now made the decision to postpone his brand launch, according to Mail Online.The launch was scheduled to take place today but won't go ahead out of respect to his former co-star.

Amanda, known her her acting role on Sherlock, confirmed her departure on Instagram and shared a snap of her dancing shoes, as well as a lengthy message.
