She said: "The first time I danced there in the competition was with Joe Sugg and it was so special. We got our first ten and Joe’s nan was in the audience, it was the best." The sweet memory means a lot to the Australian native, who reflected on how much it means to her to be back in the Tower Ballroom this weekend.
She added: "It’s so special because, as a little 6 year old girl living in Australia, I asked my mum if I could dance in Blackpool.
My parents could not afford to take me so it was always just a dream, until I finally got to dance there with Strictly." Dianne hopes that the magic and prestige of the Blackpool Tower Ballroom will prompt amateur dancers on thanks to a special vibe that it possesses. "The Blackpool Tower feels royal, it’s so grand and makes you instantly feel like a dancer," she said excitedly.
