Strictly Come Dancing's Adam Thomas was forced to pull out of tonight’s spin-off show It Takes Two due to illness. The Emmerdale star’s pro partner Luba Muchstuk still appeared as she told host Fleur East: “It's so strange to be here by myself!" At the top of Friday’s show, Fleur told fans Adam is feeling “under the weather” as Luba revealed he’s resting in a bid to be in better health for Saturday’s show.Luba, 33, said: “He is resting now, he just hasn't felt very well, but he is resting and getting ready for tomorrow night so everything will be fine!" It comes after Adam was banned from rehearsals earlier last week, according to reports.
The Waterloo road star's illness potentially threw last weekend's show into chaos because the actor reportedly missed vital rehearsal time.
Revealing he'd fallen ill, the 35-year-old posted a photo of himself in bed earlier this week. Taking to Instagram, he told fans: “Of all weeks to be poorly!” adding that he'd been drinking Berocca and coffee in an attempt to recover.Adam recovered from the bug, as he appeared on Strictly's spin-off It Takes Two on Thursday evening alongside Luba and then was able to perform on Saturday, when he and Luba got 32 points for their Couple’s Choice.It's been a dramatic week for Strictly bosses after Amanda Abbington sensationally quit.
The Sherlock star's decision to step down from the the BBC competition was confirmed on It Takes Two on Monday night as Fleur confirmed the actress had withdrawn.A spokesperson for Strictly said: "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition.
