Dancing runs through Shirley’s veins, and in 1985 she married dance partner Corky Ballas. Shirley and Corky had a son together, Mark Ballas, who rose to fame as a professional dancer on Dancing With the Stars in the US.
Shirley has been open about the marriage having some volatile moments and the pair divorced after 22 years of marriage in 2007.
