An unexpected star of Strictly Come Dancing has been given a major boost following an outcry after the first elimination of the series.
All 15 couples performed their second routines of the 2024 run so far during the latest live show. They again performed for the judges' comments and scores, with their new points being combined with those received in week one to create a new bumper leaderboard.
But it being week two of the competition, it meant that it was time for viewers to be able to vote in support of their favourites before the first dance-off and elimination of the BBC One dance contest this year. Meanwhile, Paul Merson and Karen Hauer sat at the bottom of the board after they were given a score of 15 for their Salsa. But it's actually former footballer Paul who has actually received a boost after making it through to week three of Strictly 2024, which is a Movie Week special and takes place this Saturday night (October 5).
