Sam Quek revealed that she and her fellow Strictly Come Dancing co-stars were hit with a 'sobering moment' earlier in the competition as she broke her silence on her exit.

The Olympic hockey star became the sixth celebrity to leave the BBC One dance contest as she was voted out following week seven of the 2024 series alongside professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin.

After the first ever 'Icons Week', on Sunday night (November 3) the results show was all about the latest dreaded dance-off and facing Sam and Nikita was Gladiator Montell Douglas and her dance partner Johannes Radebe. After reperforming their routines, all four judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke - all agreed unanimously to save Montell and Johannes, therefore making Sam and Nikita the sixth couple to exit the competition.
