Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams slammed so-called 'fans' of the show before it was revealed he had made it through to the final.

The actor and West End star had another amazing weekend in the ballroom with dance partner Nikita Kuzmin. The pair were top of the leaderboard during Saturday night's (December 9) semi-final with 116 out of a possible 120 after the judges' points were carried over from last week and achieving two perfect 40 scores - the only couple to get all 10s from the judges this series.

They even received a standing ovation from the notoriously difficult to please Craig Revel Horwood. For their second dance of the night, Layton, 29, and Nikita, 25, wore matching suits as they performed the Charleston to Fit As A Fiddle by Gene Kelly and Donald O’Connor.

They made use of chairs, a ladder and umbrellas as they danced their way to a full 40 points. But some Strictly viewers still took umbridge to Layton's 'experience' as a theatre star and it led to one of the show's former professional dancers Robin Windsor to speak out.
