Kai Widdrington seemingly distracted fans as he was given an exciting bit of news during a joint TV appearance with Strictly Come Dancing co-star Neil Jones.
The pair of professional dancers were both on Strictly's spin-off show It Takes Two on Thursday night (December 5) as the winner of the 2024 Pro Challenge was revealed, and whoever topped the leaderboard was confirmed to have broken a Guinness World Record.
The annual competition sees the various Strictly professionals aim to perform as many repetitions of a dance step in 30 seconds, with the person emerging victorious setting a record in the process. READ MORE: BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones says 'guess what' as she makes Wynne Jones announcement For the 2024 challenge, the talented group of dancers were tasked with performing a Time Step from the cha-cha-cha, with judge Craig Revel Horwood and adjudicator Will Munford overseeing the contestants as they counted and verified the steps made in each attempt.
With the final results set to be revealed, Kai and Neil were welcomed into the studio by host Janette Manrara, with the aim of beating the previous attempt of 14 steps, which was set by Nadiya Bychkova.
