BBC Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas cancels wedding to fiancé as she refuses to marry again

Strictly star Shirley Ballas won't be walking down the aisle to her fiancé Danny Taylor anytime soon after she cancelled their wedding to focus on other things.The dance judge, 63, and her younger beau, 53, have been together since 2019 after they met on set in a pantomime production of Jack and the Beanstalk.Their meeting seemed like fate as the pair began regularly seeing each other despite their busy schedules with Danny being an actor while Shirley is the head judge on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.Shirley has previously been married twice, with her first marriage to ballroom dancer Sammy Stopford lasting for four years from 1980 to 1884.She later tied the knot for a second time with Corky Ballas just a year later but the pair separated in 2007, the Mirror reports.While Shirley and Danny have largely kept details of their relationship away from the public eye, the BBC star revealed in June last year that she was wanting to postpone their wedding as she had new plans to travel and hoped to spend the summer with her close loved ones, including her mother.

She told MailOnline during an interview last year: "I've changed my mind. I just feel that at this particular point in my life, my mother and I have got this great relationship and we want to do some travelling and there is different things we want to do. "[The relationship is] going good – I’m busy, he’s busy and we talk to each other every day – several times a day, and my mum talks to him as well," she added, referring to their long-distance romance."
