Strictly Come Dancing fans were not left impressed during the 2023 live final tonight after complaining about one thing just seconds into the show.Viewers were quick to slam producer's decisions about the opening of the grand finale on Saturday night as they said it was "not needed" and begged for them to get on with the dancing.Ellie Leach, 22 and professional dance partner Vito Coppola were crowned this year's winners on the BBC dance contest, beating runners up Layton Williams and EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, 20, to the Glitterball Trophy. Each of the three finalists performed three dance routines for the judges on the final episode of the series as they hoped to impress viewers at home who decided tonight's winner through the public vote. However, ahead of the show kicking off, fans had similar complaints about the beginning of the episode, the Mirror reports. Each of the finalists were shown walking around the studio before greeting their pro dancers and performing a short dance.

Winner Ellie, Layton and Bobby each individually expressed what their time on Strictly had meant to them and how excited they were for the final. But fans were not impressed by their emotional admissions and were keen for the "dramatic" content to end.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans called for the montage to be scrapped in favour of more dancing.Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland. No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team. All you have to do is click here if you're on mobile, select 'Join Community' and you're in!If you're on a desktop,
