Known for solving a massive mystery surrounding a heart-breaking disappearance, the beloved TV presenter died last Sunday.The broadcaster is survived by his loving wife Pat, after 62 years of marriage, and their three children, Sarah, Jo, and Thomas.

His family released a heartfelt statement explaining that he had "died peacefully" and expressed their eagerness to celebrate his remarkable life.

Craig enjoyed an impressive 25-year stint with the BBC Spotlight team in Plymouth, being the first and longest-serving regional weather forecaster after joining in 1978 Before his time at the BBC, he was a navigation adviser to The Sunday Times during the iconic single-handed Round the World Yacht Race.

In a notable highlight of his career, Craig famously solved the mystery surrounding sailor Donald Crowhurst, who vanished from his trimaran in the mid-Atlantic during The Golden Globe Race.This competition required participants to set sail between 1 June and 31 October 1968 and navigate the treacherous Southern Ocean.There was a £5,000 reward at stake—a figure equivalent to about £80,000 today—for the fastest time.
