TV legend Paul Barnes has passed away at the age of 85.The renowned TV and radio host graced the BBC with his presence for many years, featuring on shows like The Village Show, Folio and Anything Goes.

He shared the screen with Anthea Turner during his impressive career. His wife paid a heartfelt tribute as she broke the news of his passing.

Fellow broadcaster Helen McDermott remembered him as someone who lived a "full and colourful life". She said: "He loved life and whatever he did, TV, Radio or writing, he was a perfectionist." Paul and his wife even teamed up to write alternating columns every two weeks for the Norwich Evening News, reports the Mirror.

Paul was known for his forthright opinions and would often question: "Have I gone too far this time?" Born in Coventry in July 1939, Paul discovered his love for music early on.
