BBC star makes devastating career announcement after 33 years

BBC presenter and TV chef Simon Rimmer has made the heartbreaking announcement that he's unfortunately had to close one of his top restaurants in a sad move for his career.

The Channel 4 Sunday Brunch favourite broke the news to his fans on social media, as he explained that he's been forced to shut down Greens in Didsbury, Manchester after 33 years.

Sharing all in a video on X, formerly known as Twitter, the star was clearly emotional as he addressed the reasons for the change. "Well, this is a very sad day.

After 33 years running Greens in Didsbury - we've unfortunately had to close the door," Simon, who has had a tough year after losing an important family member, began. "Our landlords have risen our rent by 35 percent - the general food costs, costs of employing people...
