Beloved Holby City star Rosie Marcel has announced her retirement from acting, following the cancellation of her long-running hospital soap.

Known for long-running role as surgeon Jac Naylor in the BBC medical drama, the actress has revealed that she’s now taking a step away from acting altogether.

The announcement comes following Holby City was axed after 23 years on air, with Rosie’s character Jac being brutally killed off in the soap’s finale, leaving fans of the soap favourite heartbroken.
