BBC star Jay Blades has mysteriously vanished from social media, including his Instagram and Twitter accounts. This comes after the presenter was in court on Tuesday (September 17) over accusations of using his mobile phone while driving, a charge which has since been dismissed. The 54-year-old attended a brief two-minute hearing at Cannock Magistrates' Court, which was held in Walsall.
He had previously pleaded not guilty to the offence, alleged to have occurred in Wombourne, Staffordshire, on April 2. Additionally, the presenter is facing allegations of controlling and coercive behaviour against his estranged wife Lisa Zbozen.
Since then, Jay has completely wiped his social media presence. Attempts to visit both his Instagram and Twitter accounts are met with error messages, stating that the pages "have been removed" and "this account does not exist", reports the Express.
West Mercia Police released a statement last week, saying: "54-year-old Jason Blades of Claverley in Wolverhampton has been charged with controlling and coercive behaviour." "He appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court this morning (Friday 13th September) and has been bailed to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Friday 11th October." The alleged offences are said to have taken place between January 1, 2023, and April 9, 2024.
