Michael Ball has had an impressive career spanning nearly 40 years, having first shot to fame when he made his debut on the West End stage in Les Miserables, back in 1985.

Since then the 61 year old star has gone on to launch an impressive recording career, appear in many more musicals including Hairspray, Chess and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street, launch multiple tours both on his own and with Alfie Boe, and become a regular BBC Radio 2 presenter.

He even appeared briefly in Coronation Street back in 1985. But even though Michael has reached 'national treasure' status, viewers were livid when he duetted with Susan Boyle back in 2019.

Susan made a surprise return to Britain's Got Talent, but fans were left disappointed by her duet with Michael. A decade after she was named the runner-up in 2009, Susan shared the stage with the singer to perform A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman.
