BBC Radio presenter Jason Rosam has announced his departure from the broadcaster after 16 years. Jason is best known for hosting BBC London's Early Breakfast show, where he keeps the world up to date with all the latest news from 5am.

His final show was broadcast on Friday, 5 January and he shared a heartfelt message to listeners on social media as he confirmed his exit from the BBC.

Taking to Instagram, Jason wrote: "From the first day when I walked into 35 Marylebone High Street in 2007 to leaving Broadcasting House for the final time as a BBC employee tomorrow it's been an extraordinary ride filled with stories, moments, and experiences that have shaped me in profound ways.

What an adventure!" He continued: "As I look back at these photos over the years, I'm flooded with memories of the amazing people I've had the privilege to work with and the stories I've worked on from mayoral and general elections, royal weddings, births, deaths and jubilees, the Olympics and Paralympics, the multiple terror attacks, stabbings, murders and the tradgedy of the Grenfell Tower Fire. "Most of all I will remember the real Londoners I met who came on air to share their incredible stories with me.
