Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing is set to return to our screens later this month. The fan-favourite series features comedians Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse as they travel across the UK's stunning landscape and fish in various lakes, rivers and canals.
The pair enjoy plenty of laughs, capers and candid and heartfelt chats as they grow older and reflect on their friendship. The BBC previously announced an extended series of eight episodes was due to air on BBC Two in late 2024.
Doug Bryson, the series editor, reassured eager fans online that they "don't have much longer to wait", confirming that the seventh series will kick off at 9pm on Sunday, September 22 on BBC Two.
In the upcoming series of Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, the pair, accompanied by their canine companion Ted, will visit locations including Derbyshire, Newark, Bedfordshire, North Norfolk and Northern Ireland.
