Clive Myrie has openly declared he has "absolutely no regrets" about a significant choice he and his wife Catherine made together.
The 59 year old broadcaster, who hails from a large family with six siblings, and Catherine, who herself is one of five children, decided against having children of their own.
In an interview, Clive credited Catherine for providing him with the "courage and space" to chase his ambitions during their 32-year marriage.
The couple first crossed paths in 1992 at a book launch centred on Swiss cheeses. After contemplating starting a family, they concluded that it would be too "tricky" to combine parenting with their globetrotting lifestyle.
