Vigil's cast are eager to make their comeback on TV as the BBC confirmed a third series is in the works. Stars Suranne Jones from Doctor Foster and Rose Leslie of Game of Thrones fame will reprise their roles as DCI Amy Silva and DI Kirsten Longacre, diving into a new six-episode mystery.This time, their investigation takes them to a distant Arctic research station where a British special forces operative has been murdered.

Amy and Kirsten face the task of finding the assassin while preventing a global crisis.Set against the backdrop of a polar climate grappling with energy and resource battles, both their professional standing and personal relationship hang in balance.
