The BBC has defended its decision to axe an episode of Mrs Brown's Boys. The broadcaster explained that Arsenal and Newcastle's FA Cup meet on January 9 had forced a last-minute schedule tweak as the game ran into extra time.
Mrs Brown's Boys was due to air at 9:30pm that night, but the schedule was pushed back half an hour due to the late-running game.
This meant Casualty started later, as did Michael McIntyre's The Wheel. The BBC has since shared a statement on its website confirming that "more than 100 complaints" had been logged over Mrs Brown's Boys' disappearance from the line-up.
