The character, who is played by actress Jacqueline Jossa, is set to make her highly anticipated return on New Year’s Day with a series of explosive scenes taking place in Paris, France — a far cry from Lauren’s Walford roots.
Although what had lead Lauren to be in the French capital remains to be seen, the character’s return will be the first time fans have seen her since she briefly reprised her role in June 2023 as part of EastEnders legend Cindy Beale’s comeback.
During her last appearance, Lauren very nearly rekindled her romance with Peter Beale, but any hope of a reunion soured after she discovered that his mother Cindy was secretly alive and had been living a double life under a new identity - something Peter knew all about!
