Call The Midwife has been voted the best show of the last 25 years in a poll conducted by Radio Times to mark their 25th anniversary.
The London-based midwife series, based loosely on real life events, secured a quarter of all the votes and beat other household favourites to the top spot.
The series triumphed over popular TV series such as Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones, which were both immensely popular in their time.
The large fan base came out in droves to vote for the BBC drama in the RadioTimes poll Speaking about the achievement, Call the Midwife creator Heidi Thomas said: “All of us on the show are absolutely delighted to hear that RadioTimes.
