BBC Breakfast's Emma Vardy has announced the birth of her baby boy. Emma, 42, recently stood in for Nina Warhurst as a business correspondent after she headed off on maternity leave with her third child.

The BBC star took to Instagram and shared a snap cradling her new-born son and wrote: "Presenting my best breaking news ever.

Baby boy Jago Fionn is here. "At just a few hours old, playing a little camera shy. Huge thanks to the dedicated & talented midwives & doctors at Belfast’s Royal Victoria Hospital, for looking after us so well.
