Deborah James' podcast co-host has called the late cancer campaigner's death "surreal" and said her friend's passing "hasn't really hit yet". Dame Deborah, known as Bowel Babe, tragically passed away on June 28 at the age of 40, after being diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016. She had co-hosted the You, Me And The Big C podcast with Lauren Mahon and Rachael Bland – who sadly died in September 2018 aged 40 after treatment for breast cancer.
