BBC Amandaland star's 'secret connection' to creator of hit sitcom

Fans of BBC's Amandaland saw Peter Serafinowicz, the unmistakable voice behind Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, grace the latest episode.

However, some viewers might not realise is his 'secret connection' to the show's mastermind.Tonight's episode saw Peter star in the Motherland spinoff series as Johannes.

Earlier this year, Lucy Punch, the actress behind Amanda, raved about him, sharing, "Peter (Serafinowicz) is so funny and great at improvising.

He brought a lot of material to the role. Every time he walked on set, he brought this fantastic energy, and everyone was excited to see what he'd do. "His character is completely mad, and he's perfectly cast because it needed someone with his big comedy energy.
