Leroy Sane's £54.8m move from Manchester City to Bayern Munich has been confirmed, with the player signing a lucrative contract which runs until 2025.
The 24-year-old almost joined the German champions last summer before a serious knee injury ruled him out for 10 months. But after missing practically the whole of City's 2019-20 campaign Sane will now return to Germany in a deal which both clubs appear satisfied with, especially given his contract was due to expire at the end of next season.
When asked about the player ahead of City's game against Liverpool on Thursday, manager Pep Guardiola wished Sane well, and admitted he was sad to see him go. "It looks like he is going to go to Munich," Guardiola said. "I wish him all the best.
