This week the death of frontman Les McKeown, at the age of 65, broke the hearts of the fans whose love for the band started in their 70s heyday and never faded.

Here, superfans share their devotion to the Scottish sensations who rocked their world. Cheryl Walker, 61, from Gateshead, Tyneside As soon as I left school at 17 I moved to Edinburgh just to be closer to the Bay City Rollers.
