Bath & Body Works Apologizes After Candle Design Draws Comparison To KKK Hoods

Bath & Body Works had a MAJOR oversight in their design division… This is BAD. Customers of the fragrance retailer are FUMING after noticing one of their latest candle designs bears a striking resemblance to the symbol of one of the most sinister hate groups in US history: the Ku Klux Klan.

For a new holiday candle called “Snowed In,” Bath & Body Works decided to decorate the label with a snowflake design… Except, it’s zoomed waaay in to the pointed tips of the snowflake, which feature two little rounded holes.

Yeah. They look like little KKK hoods. See (below): YIKES. Not one person saw this packaging and thought… Uh oh?? On social media, no one could UNSEE it!

Netizens were quick to share their disapproving takes, quipping: Not good at all! But in response, the company has apologized and taken action to remove the controversial candle from shelves.
