EXCLUSIVE: The expansion of the Basketball Wives franchise looks to be a slam dunk for VH1. Basketball Wives: Los Angeles returned for Season 11 on October 9, followed by the premiere of Basketball Wives: Orlando.
After three days of viewing, the episodes hit just over a million viewers, which is quite a sizable audience for the Paramount Global network.
Basketball Wives: LA was up 41% in L+3 ratings to a 0.52 — compared to a 0.37 in the 18-49 demographic in L+SD. In all, the episode drew about 203,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo.
According to the network, Basketball Wives: Orlando managed to retain about 62% of its predecessor’s demo audience, delivering a 0.34 rating.
