Barry Ferguson has confirmed he has left Kelty Hearts after their promotion from the Lowland League. Ferguson leaves the Lowland League champions into the SPFL for the first time in their history in Sunday’s play-off victory over Brechin City. Record Sport exclusively revealed earlier today that Alloa want the former Clyde manager as the man to kick-start their own promotion push after relegation from the Championship last season.
The Ibrox icon confirmed on the Go Radio Football Show that he was leaving his post and would speak to two SPFL clubs before deciding his next move.
Ferguson said: "I had made my choice no matter what happened, whether Kelty stayed in the Lowland League or we got promoted, I was going to move on.
