Barclays customers have voiced concerns over their accounts being 'shut down', prompting an apology and a promise of investigation from the bank.
Over the past few days, users have taken to X expressing their frustration after encountering error messages when attempting to log in following certain transactions.
One customer warned others to 'take your money out before it's too late' as the issue emerged, while another reported that 'all accounts were frozen'.
Barclays has pledged to look into the matter. One customer tweeted: "@BarclaysUK ARE CLOSING DOWN CURRENT ACCOUNTS Done to me today merely because I purchased crypto.
