Kalvin Phillips has barely played 90 Premier League minutes this season with the midfielder fully on Pep Guardiola’s back-burner.
Although highly praiseful of his attitude, the Manchester City boss has refused to rule out a January exit for the England star, whose inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad hangs in the balance.
Phillips has started just two of his 10 appearances this season, neither of which has come in the league. The player admitted last October that he would have to assess his options if game time remained low following a chat with Southgate ahead of this summer’s tournament. Some have already backed off while others are supposedly ramping up their interest with just 11 days to go until the window closes.
