Barcelona have brought the curtain down on their quest to sign Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva, just days ahead of the transfer window closing.
That is according to a report by Spanish outlet Sport, who claim that Barcelona have decided to 'give up' on pursuing the Portuguese international due to City's reluctance to sell him.
The former Monaco man has been heavily linked with a move to the Camp Nou throughout the summer and City manager Pep Guardiola has often reiterated just how important he is to his plans.
Barcelona, despite being put off by City's refusal to sell, also believe that there is not enough time left in the window to try and get a deal over the line.
